Courante Acoustic Violins are our own imports and have been tested for reponse, wood grain quality by local luthiers who have given extremely positive responses. The beautiful antique violin style is created by polishing into the violin top sides and back wood first and then veneered in the style of the oldest violins.
Courante violins are hand carved and not mass produced low quality spruce. and come in various wood finish grains. We dont sell the cheapest low quality spruce violins simply because the result is so poor that it gives a beginner no chance of ever making a sound they can enjoy

Another options we also offer, for those wishing a warmer, more mellow sound which professionals generally prefer is the fitting of world famous D Addario Zyex strings synthetic gut strings vs steel strings to ensure even as a beginner you are producing a warmer sound rather than somewhat harsher of steel strings.

Using the chart below to select the correct sized violin. Violin sizes range from 1/16 size to 4/4 (Full) size. Very small sizes make it is possible for children as young as 2 or 3 years of age to learn to play the violin. Some violin teachers prefer a minimum age of student they will take on.
