this is just a general assembly guide fora drumset - not speficially for any one brand set - some details may differ.-It isnt as complicated as it looks in writing ..
to tune the skins (Heads) just tighten the screws gradually around the rims until no ripples in the skins appear ,,but not too much
the hi hat might be easier to take to the teacher seperately
The distances have to be just right and one judges by the sound
Warnings
CYMBALS _ Unde r no circumstances hit with full force ( any type of cymbals - they crack !)
HEADS _ the same do NOT hit with full force and a tight wrist ( dead hand ) the wrist MUST bounce )
these two techniques should be taught by a teacher !!
Ps while most of the drumset is very easy to assemble ( way easier than it loks in diagrams )
The 2 HIHAT Cymblas need precise distances apart - too far and they sound too weak too tight and they also sound too weak
we recommend taking just that HI HAT stand and 2 Hi hat cymabls ( small 14 inch ones ) to your teacher and ask him her ot do it
As far as stretching the drumheads,,,,,,,,,really as soon as the ripples dissapear when you tight them
they are fine ,,it isnt all that precise

A simpler way is just tight the screws as shown but dont tap just tighten gradually until all ripples in the skin dissapear and its flat.
if its flat its pretty much in tune .
