For ethical reasons we only sell djembes with synthetic heads, which in any case sound better but are slightly higher priced.

orginally from Mali in west africa, the name Djembe originally means " All come  gather in peace

 Djembe drums are played by Striking the skin with the palm and fingers in centre of the skin to  produces a bass note

Striking the skin near the rim with palm near rim produces other  tones and slaps.

The sound must be striking +sharp so how played is essential to get your  technique right playing djembes
