Intro to Instrumental Solos, Band & Orchestra playing on Keyboards

AGES 7 to 8 year and 9 to 13 year courses . ADULT Beginners can do some of the appropriate modules too but additianal Jazz, Rock Classical modules are offered to them .

240 Sight Reading exercises integrated with Pitch/rhythm recognition (theory) & fun to play with teacher accompaniments, ensure very fluent reading skills after a year.

Module 1 (Both courses) Orchestral and Band parts.4 Tapes supplied for home practice Easy to read orchestral parts with letters in the middle for piano keyb and guitar which are played with the teacher and tape recorded parts. A tape is provided for students to play with at home.

Module 2 (7-8 years course) Short easy childrens songs taught quickly by memory , with easy to read fonts with letters in the middle or normal notation fonts once students have progressed far enough into Module 6

Module 3 (Both courses) Piano pieces Two handed piano pieces played on keyboards in standard notation Some simplified creative songwriting, composition skills.

Module 4 (Both courses) Songs and Solos Contemporary Pop arranged Solos & Singing Solos to Auto Band keyboard accompaniments .Well known Disney and Movie Songs played with teacher guitar, piano and keyboard accompaniments. Singing short choruses also introduced.

Module 5 ( 9y to 12y) Band ensemble Pieces in the style of well known bands. Play arrangements of drum, bass, chordal and voice parts on Keyboards or Piano

Module 6 (Both courses) Sight reading and Theory Completion of an 80 page tutor focusing on pitch and rhythm in instrumental sight reading skills, reading standard musical notation, as well as singing phrases, so that once the course is completed pupils will have no problems at all reading new solo repertoire in standard music notation without any help from letters on the keyboards ,easy to read kidfonts or simply trying to memorise everything.. All sightreading material is accompanied by keyboard accompaniments the pupil can use if they have a keyboard and teacher accompaniments in lessons to give some sense of flow to the excercises.
