Violin setup is advised for some of our violins, depending if stated 

( some of our violins state a setup is already included - then ignore this page)

Setup includes

  • Put up the bridge. Ensure distance of string to fretboard is correct.
  • Tunes violin with pegs and  add 3 extra fine tuners ( for some models)
  • Stretch strings for  30 minutes so they remain in tune better.
  • Adjustment of pegs so they are neither too loose ( tuning will slip ) nor tight 
  • check position of soundpost
COSTS Of optional setups of above mentioned
  •   R100 extra  If the violin has 4 fine tuners installed already
  •  R150 to the cost if additional 3 extra fine tuners are required.(violin was only supplied with 1 of 4 )
  •  R250-R300 extra   if you require a very  advanced setup with shaving a bridge though most of our models dont require this.
